As I have spent many years working in the outdoors and in centres, I have come up with my 5 top pieces of equipment an outdoor instructor should have for under £150
1. Wellies - These are a must have working on an activity centre. In the morning you have to set up the climbing tower or check the archery range or set up your team building activities and the ground is wet from the rain the night before! No one need to spend the day with wet feet! £30
2. Watch - One of the best watches I had as an instructor was a plan simple Casio watch which had a stopwatch, light and most importantly the time! £10
3. Bag of tennis balls - You can do so many games with this bag to hand from ice breakers to team building or even competitions. £10
4. Sunglasses - These are a must. Try not to be tempted to go for the cheapest pair you find. These are an important bit of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and is one of the times you must spend some money to look after yourself. £70
5. Torch - I bought my LED torch from Screw fix 3 years ago and it's one of the best torches I have bought.
