  • Glow Sticks, very handy pieces of kit weather its for you for first aid kit or for you open boat for doing a bit of night paddling. And if you don't use them then when you get new ones for Christmas next year you can use the old one for new year party! Glow Sticks (amazon) £4

  • Waterproof pad and pencil, Great for storing in the rucksack or in your paddling kit. The pad is great for taking notes when assessing clients on the river but it handy for emergencies was well to write down information like location, numbers, medical information etc. waterproof pad (amazon) £3

  • Pens, a fine point permanent pen in multiple colours are a great handy piece of kit for any one that works with maps. Whether your teaching navigation to students or out walking on your own its handy to draw in a waterproof map your planed route and mark off where you have got to along your journey. fine point pens (amazon) £5

  • Small set of waterproof dry bags, I would choose the small set because its handy to put things like keys, phone wallet in one and other accessories in the others. I use this method in my rucksack for certain items and transfer it across to my paddle kit so I always know whats in what bag. dry bag (decathlon) £14.99
